During the June presentation Presentation Project Conclusions E2 Automotive and Good Practice Guide was made in Energy Efficiency.
The main objective of the project was to improve the competitiveness of companies in the sector by reducing production costs by improving the production system through energy efficiency of industrial processes, optimizing the use of resources, minimizing waste management, encouraging the use of efficient technologies and mitigating the effects of climate change.
To achieve this goal they have been made Individual Energy Audits participants partners, in which quantified the energy billing and energy consumption of the various equipment and services, identifying the areas of highest energy consumption. Furthermore analysis has been made of the energy efficiency of the same computing performance and assessing the energy losses. They were also conducted an analysis of energy optimization measures. Proposed conservation measures and technical assessment and economically viable, analyzing for each of the proposals the energy and cost savings, the necessary investment and payback periods.
In addition, a Guide to Good Practice was drawn, with the intention of providing companies a tool ally, showing the real situation of adoptable consumption and improvements to any of the industries. The aim is to increase the penetration of energy efficiency to raise awareness of the factors affecting energy consumption, identifying the potential savings that have scope and analyzing the technical and economic feasibility of implementing such measures. This guide has been nourished of valid and reliable knowledge that is provided during the performance of individualized studies.
Analysis of results
This sector has great potential for savings. While it is characterized by its spirit of improvement and dynamism, It is still very much the way left to go to achieve optimal levels of efficiency.
